Senator Lea Webb announced the launch of her re-election campaign at the People’s Purple Ball in Binghamton tonight.
The event provided an opportunity for Webb to connect with community members and celebrate the Southern Tier, bringing together supporters, community leaders, and notable guest speakers including attorney general Letitia James.
Webb, who is set to run for her third term this year, says her campaign is focused on continuing support for essential needs of working families and small businesses throughout the Southern Tier.
“Our community is telling the tale of two communities. There’s challenges around poverty and also, at the same time, we are the birthplace of some incredible innovation that not only helps our region and state and our country, but internationally,” said Webb. “And so for me, it is paramount that we make sure that our communities have access to the resources that they need, whether it’s for quality, affordable housing; education; health care. Just to name a few.”
