CHICAGO (AP) — CHICAGO (AP) — Telephone & Data Systems Inc. (TDS) on Friday reported a loss of $81.8 million in its third quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Chicago-based company said it had a loss of 84 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 7 cents per share.

The parent of U.S. Cellular and TDS Telecom posted revenue of $308.5 million in the period.
